Marketing for Writers

This workshop explores the critical questions you’ll need to answer in order to take a strategic approach to marketing yourself and your writing. Taught by a creative writer with a background in freelancing and corporate communications, this workshop will provide a useful tool kit to get you started on promoting your work.

Blogging

With several blogs and a wide range of blogging interests, from Saskatchewan writers and scenery, to birds, wildflowers, and photography, I’ve studied what works, and why. To date, I have close to 80,000 visits and 120,000 page views, and those stats increase dramatically year over year. Learn how to get started on your blog now, whether as a standalone place to share ideas, or as part of your professional writing website.

The Family Quilt

Bring colour and passion to your family history projects with this new patchwork approach to telling your stories. Taught by a professional writer and amateur genealogist who has researched many of her family lines back to the late 1700s, and one family line back 12 generations to the mid-1500s.

My Stories, My World

An introductory workshop for aspiring writers who would like to share their insights, creative ideas or experiences. Learn to tell the stories that matter to you, and to your community.

Writing for Healing

Beyond Snaps: Introduction to Photography

This workshop focuses on visual storytelling for creative photography, aka exposing and composing great shots. Other areas that can be explored include the varying demands of print and online publications, the colours of light, and camera formats.
